All Spirits Are Not Created Equal.

First, I would like to sincerely apologize for using any pictures depicting Jesus and for the promotion of holidays. I was recently convicted in the error of my ways so wanted to share what I have discovered. Each person’s journey is unique and we arrive at different stops along the way so this is not to judge or condemn as this duty belongs to God alone. To be clear, I’m not part of any denomination (cult) that has influenced my beliefs. All I do is read the Bible, research and allow the Holy Spirit to lead me.

Hebrews 10:29-30. How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”

1 Peter 4:17. For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

I will no longer post images of Jesus on this site and have taken down as much as possible. Also, I am tossing away anything in my home that encourages false representations. I don’t idolize or worship these pictures to believe they are the Lord but my spirit no longer wants to even imagine what He looks like, it’s irrelevant.

Deuteronomy 7:26. Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. Regard it as vile and utterly detest it, for it is set apart for destruction.

Through history, people’s imaginations have tried to conjure up a version of Jesus which suits their ideals. In the Bible, there is absolutely no reference to the Lord’s features and this is part of God’s design. I can only speculate that He does not want us to focus on and possibly diminish Him based on appearance.

Exodus 20:3-6. “You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.”

We don’t need a picture because all we have to do is look at His creation.

Psalm 19:1-2. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.

The Scriptures are also filled with illustrations which glorify His characteristics that are evident all around us.

John 6:32-33. Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

John 1:5. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 4:14. “But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

John 10:11. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

Colossians 1:15. The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Another important matter which the Spirit has brought to my attention is the celebration of all man-made, pagan holidays including Christmas, Easter and birthdays. This was sparked by a comment that Laila made about the letters of Santa being re-arranged to Satan. I decided to take a deep dive down into the dark, scary rabbit hole and was I in for a great shock.

2 Timothy 2:15. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

I was further compelled to do more research and will share some of my findings. I can’t get into all the nitty gritty details (there’s a lot!) but will do my best to pick out the main points. As always, I recommend others to do their own inquiry to make well-informed decisions because we should not entertain all spirits.

Hosea 4:6. My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.

Nowhere in the Bible is there an exact date of Jesus’ birth date but it wasn’t in the winter. Shepherds are in the fields with their sheep in the months between spring and autumn. This means there is a greater likelihood that the Lord would have been born during this time.

There were a number of pagan ritualistic ceremonies (before Christ) held around winter solstice to welcome the return of the sun’s life-giving force. In particular, there were two celebrations that took place around December 25 – Saturnalia and Mithra’s birthday. During the festival of Saturnalia, the social norms would be overturned where anything goes such as gambling, human sacrifices, drinking, perversion like paedophilia and the role reversal between owners and their slaves. Around 350 AD, Pope Julius I chose December 25 and a commonly held belief is that this date was picked to attract more pagans into the Roman Church. They compromised and confused Biblical history by joining together the birthdays of Mithra (god of the unconquerable sun) and Jesus (Son of God). This explains why in some art we see Jesus with rays of light surrounding the crown of His head. In the early 17th century, there was a wave of reformation which outlawed Christmas but by popular demand it was restored.

1 Corinthians 10:20-22. No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons. Are we trying to arouse the Lord’s jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

Santa is another concoction of pagan ideology that was thrown into the Christmas mix. He was given the attributes of God (omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent) and this can be deciphered in the song, Santa Claus is Coming is Town. People can do as they please but lying to children about Santa creates disillusionment and breaks their trust so why would they ever believe in Jesus?

The tree  also has many evil symbols and meanings attached to it.

A few similar traits between Jesus (sent by the Father) and Santa (Father Christmas) is the writing down of names, their eternal spirit and white hair.

Revelation 13:8. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.

Revelation 1:8. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 1:14. The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.

Pagans thought that evil spirits lurked on days of major changes such as one’s birth. The practices and items used during birthdays are tied to the occult (blowing candles, wish making, singing chants and stabbing the cake). In the Scriptures, there are two birthday celebrations, each was held by ungodly men, Pharaoh and Herod, and both involved orders to kill.

Genesis 40:20-22. Now the third day was Pharaoh’s birthday, and he gave a feast for all his officials. He lifted up the heads of the chief cupbearer and the chief baker in the presence of his officials: He restored the chief cupbearer to his position, so that he once again put the cup into Pharaoh’s hand—but he impaled the chief baker, just as Joseph had said to them in his interpretation.

Matthew 4:6-11. On Herod’s birthday the daughter of Herodias danced for the guests and pleased Herod so much that he promised with an oath to give her whatever she asked. Prompted by her mother, she said, “Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.” The king was distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he ordered that her request be granted and had John beheaded in the prison. His head was brought in on a platter and given to the girl, who carried it to her mother.

Further proof that birthdays are an abomination is found in Job (Chapter 3). After suffering many terrible losses, Job curses every aspect of the day of his birth. His words make plain that there is nothing good about the day of a man’s birth.

Ecclesiastes 7:1. A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth.

It’s worthwhile to mention that birthdays are regarded as the highest holiday in The Satanic Bible. You are to exalt yourself to the status of a god and indulge in self-worship.

I’ve been awakened and can’t go back to sleep with this new knowledge. My walk with the Lord is of upmost importance therefore I will happily forego anything that works against Him. He calls us out of the darkness and sets us apart for His glory.

The Lord warned His people not to adopt the ways of the surrounding nations.

Deuteronomy 12:29-30. The Lord your God will cut off before you the nations you are about to invade and dispossess. But when you have driven them out and settled in their land, and after they have been destroyed before you, be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same.”

Satan has been given rule over this fallen world but God is still in control despite the prevalence of wickedness. We are to actively seek the truth because of a genuine love for it, not just idly wait for someone to offer it.

Proverbs 1:7. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Deuteronomy 32:2. Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.

John 4:24. “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Given my renewed understanding, these traditions are nothing more than the practices of my oppressors.

1 John 4-6. Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
